I’m signing my Estate Planning documents in my car.. in a parking lot?!

During this time of uncertainty, no doubt you are uncertain about traveling or entering public spaces.  Our office is closed to any outsiders and has only one staff member in attendance.  The rest of us are working from home remotely.

We want you to know that virtual meetings, web meetings and telephone calls are all available to enable us to connect with you, all from the comfort of your home , without delaying your planning objectives.

But what do we do when the documents have to be executed?  After examining all our options, we have decided on the “Parking Lot Option“.

• Documents are reviewed ahead of time and all questions are answered so that the signing is quick.
• We give you a clipboard and have flagged everywhere you need to sign.  We are wearing masks and gloves and have sanitized the clipboard and provided a pen never before used.  Hands are washed often and hand sanitizer used liberally.
• After the witnesses and notaries sign, we will copy the documents  give them to you at that time in a sanitized envelope
• Some people prefer that the documents are in the envelope for 3 days before handling it and that’s fine.  You can pick them up 3 days later.
