Let me first say that I hope you are all doing well and staying safe and well during this crazy time.
I have been surprised at the number of clients who have called me to see if we are open for business because they want to get their “stuff done”. We’ve had to change our way of doing business, but we’re here to help during this difficult time.
Four weeks ago, just before the quarantines went into effect, I was in NY because my son got engaged!! However, when I returned I was quarantined, even from my husband, for 2 weeks. We are both just fine!
It often takes an event for people to realize how important estate and elder law planning is. Usually it’s a divorce, death, move etc. Of course, this isn’t the usual event, but whatever it takes to get people to not leave a mess for their family or lose their life savings is welcome!
Planning has never been more important. For example, without a valid Durable Power of Attorney no one can make decisions for you if you’re ill.
**During this difficult time we are waiving all initial meeting fees and of course doing phone appointments. We have our “distance signing” down pat!
And we are offering complimentary Durable Powers of Attorney to anyone on the front line!
Stay well. If you have any questions, just email me!
